Delivery & Installation
Comet offers a comprehensive home delivery & installation service, which operates seven days a week to ensure you get your products as quickly as possible. The delivery time band is between 8am & 6pm.
- Products on the Clearance Auction website are sourced & despatched from various locations in the UK, and as such have varying delivery costs and lead times.
- When you input your postcode on the product page we will calculate the delivery charge and lead time and display it for you.
- Delivery is charged PER ITEM, as each product may come from a different location.
- Winning products will be delivered to addresses on the UK mainland, Northern Ireland & the Isle of Wight only.
- For security reasons, the 1st order you place with us will only be delivered to the cardholders address. You may select an alternative delivery address for any subsequent orders you place with us. The change of address MUST be done at time of purchase as we may not be able to change it at a later date for logistical reasons.
- We offer an installation service on freestanding major kitchen appliances, such as washing machines & dishwashers, at a cost of £19.99 per appliance. We also offer an installation service for freestanding refrigeration appliances (excluding USA-style) and tumble driers at a cost of £9.99 per appliance. We can also arrange collection of an old disconnected appliance for an additional £9.99 per item. You can add any of these services onto your purchase when you complete the checkout process. If you require an installation on any other type of appliance, please contact us for details.
- You should inspect your product on delivery. Drivers are required to unwrap the item (unless requested otherwise). If your product has been delivered and has additional damage to it or is ‘not as described’ then this should be noted with the driver and recorded on their notes. They will be able to discuss the options with you and most issues should be resolved at the point of delivery. Any issues not resolved at this point should be reported to us directly WITHIN 7 DAYS OF DELIVERY on 08712 009 009 (Calls to this number cost 10p per minute plus network extras) or via the Contact us / Enquiries section on the site. Failure to comply with this instruction will deem that you have accepted the goods and you will be unable to return them.
- Please note that the booked delivery dates on large items cannot be delayed for any longer than 10 days after the date originally booked.
Small Product Delivery
- For small products such as small kitchen appliances, vacuum cleaners, MP3 players, games consoles etc, we use our preferred parcel carrier - Parcelforce.
- To safeguard your product, Parcelforce should not leave products unless they receive a signature to confirm delivery.
- Smaller product delivery is charged at £8.12 per item and delivery is usually about 7 days after close of the auction.
Large Product Delivery
For larger products including washing machines, refrigeration and large screen TV's, we will arrange delivery via Comet's own dedicated delivery fleet of over three hundred vehicles. In most cases you will be able to select the date you want for delivery at the checkout stage. If you prefer to receive a phone call to arrange a later delivery date than the options shown please select the 'call me to arrange' option. The earliest available delivery date is always shown and the delivery time band is between 8am & 6pm. Large product delivery charges are:
- Regional: £25.48 and delivery is from 5 days
- National: £30.59 and delivery is from 9 days
- US Style Fridge Freezers: £51.01 and delivery is from 9 days
