Repairs & Refunds

  • All products purchased through Comet Clearance Auctions come with a 12 months guarantee. 
  • For faults with large, non portable products please call our Customer Support Centre on 08712 009 009 (Calls to this number cost 10p per minute plus network extras) and select option 3, where our customer service advisers will talk you through the problem and may be able to help you solve the problem over the telephone (more than 25% of calls are resolved this way).
     
  • If we can't solve your problem over the phone we will arrange for an engineer to call to your home and repair the product.
     
  • A free service visit will be arranged if your product develops a fault within the 12 month guarantee period, however we reserve the right to charge a callout fee of £69 if, on visiting your home, the product is not faulty. We can also offer a chargeable repair service for products that are no longer covered by a guarantee.
     
  • For faults with portable products please take the item to your nearest Comet store to have the product examined and booked in for repair. Alternatively, you can call our Customer Support Centre on 08712 009 009 (Calls to this number cost 10p per minute plus network extras) and select option 3 for further advice.
     
  • Please note: If your product develops a fault that we cannot repair, you will be given a refund of the purchase price. Due to the nature of products offered on the Comet Clearance auction site, EXCHANGES ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
